*Shipping Information:
All orders less than $250 must pay the flat rate shipping cost. Please contact for local pickup in the Twin Cities area if looking to save on shipping costs. All orders greater than $250 (before taxes and after discounts) will be shipped free of cost, with the exception of rods that have a completed length greater than 7'10". Therefore, all rods that at their completion and upon proper packaging that are able to fit inside a rod tube measuring 7'11" or less, will qualify for the free shipping (provided the order total also qualifies for free shipping). Rod blanks with a length of 7'9" and under are generally considered a safe bet for fitting a shipping vessel of 7'11", in order not to incur additional shipping costs; this may depend on the specific components used for the rod. If in any case the shipping cost, either of the incomplete and/or complete rod, is greater than $25, Freshwater Custom Rods reserves the right to charge that additional cost to the consumer. If Freshwater Custom Rods anticipates such additional costs, we will inform the customer of them before charging for such extra costs. 

Warranty Information:
All custom rod builds have a 1 year from the date of purchase warranty on Freshwater Custom Rods' craftsmanship. Failure of rod components are subject to the manufacturers warranty. Rod Geeks blanks are used for Freshwater Custom Rods' open water rod builds (with the exception of the BFS category), and they offer a 5 year warranty for defective materials or craftsmanship (on behalf of RodGeeks). If the manufacturer determines failure on their part and therefore decides to replace the rod blank, a new rod will be built using the replacement blank at the cost (to the consumer) of materials & shipping. Ice rods are proudly built using Batson rod blanks. Although, Batson has a warranty process, the cost of shipping and paying for a replacement is generally greater than ordering a new one. For this reason Freshwater Custom Rods would gladly receive your old ice rod and build you a new equivalent ice rod at a discount if the rod blank is the defect. Rod blanks from other rod manufacturers will only be used when the customer requests a unique build that is outside what Freshwater Custom Rods typically offers on its website, and those rods may be subject to different warranty guidelines. We understand that any component of the rod may fail and could possibly be repaired by the rod builder. Please contact us regardless of your issue to discuss replacement or repair options.
